IIT Kharagpur placement: Management students get CTC of Rs 21.17 lakh

first_imgAs the students of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) – Kharagpur gets 100 percent placement in top organisations, the Cost to Company (CTC) also increased as compared to previous year.To a surprise, IIT Kharagpur’s Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) students got a jump of 14.18 percent jump in average CTC. Details of CTC offered:The batch of 2014-16 has achieved highest CTC of Rs 21.17 lakhWhile, the average CTC attained by students is Rs 14.01 lakhIn the first phase of placements, 98 percent students got placedThe Pre placement interview (PPI)/ Pre-Placement Offer (PPO) conversion was also close to 90 percentFor the batch of 2015-17, VGSoM has also concluded the summer placements and for the first time 24 companies visited the campusAlso, around 97 offers were given to students with average compensation increasing to 30 percent Students were given average stipend of Rs 76,880The highest domestic stipend given was Rs 1, 50,000The highest international stipend was Rs.5, 00,000Moreover, international summer internship was offered at VGSoM  students for the first timeThe companies that participated in the placement process of 2015-17 were BCG, Accenture, Titan Company Ltd., National Instruments, Nomura, Wipro, PWC, Maersk Line, McCain, Myntra.com, ABP, Spencer’s, BlueSt and among others.Top companies that visited the campus for 2014-16:Accenture StrategyTata MotorsTitan Company LtdDeloitteCognizant Business ConsultingRolls RoyceMcKinsey SolutionsICICI BankJob profiled offered:Senior Business ConsultantData AnalystBusiness AnalystStrategy and OperationsSupply Chain ConsultingProgram ManagerManager- Sales & MarketingManager- Strategy & Planning Financial AnalystAccount Manager Purchasing ManagerTechnology ConsultantSupply Chain ConsultantAs per Economics Times report, as of now, this was the highest CTC offered to IIT Kharagpur’s Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) students.advertisement Read: NEET in regional languages?
