Nokia 7.1 price and colour options leak out, may launch on October 4

first_imgHMD Global is planning to launch a couple of more Nokia phones before 2018 comes to a close. The company has had a pretty busy year, releasing close to a dozen smartphones already. The Nokia 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus were recently launched in India, and now HMD is planning to host an event on October 4 in London. Rumours suggest the company will announce the Nokia 7.1 and 7.1 Plus here, and we have some new information about the former. The Nokia 7.1 is expected to follow a similar all-glass design as last year’s Nokia 7 only with a taller display and smaller bezels. Noted tipster Roland Quandt tweeted some new information about the Nokia 7.1. He claims that the device will come with a 4GB + 64GB memory and storage configuration, which will cost 399 Euros (approx Rs 33,600). He also claims that the phone will be offered in Blue and Steel colours. There have been several leaked images revealing the front panel of the Nokia 7.1 and 7.1 Plus. What seems almost certain is that one of them will sport a notched display while the other will have symmetrical bezels. This makes sense since the Plus model should naturally follow the Nokia 6.1 Plus and 5.1 Plus, both of which offer notches and have been highly popular in several markets including India.Earlier this week, some leaked hands-on images of the Nokia 7.1 Plus surfaced revealing the back of the device in Copper and Silver colours. The design looks similar to the Nokia 6.1 Plus complete with a vertical dual camera setup just above a fingerprint sensor. Some CAD renders earlier this month also gave us a good idea about the design including the possibility of seeing Zeiss-branded camera lenses.advertisementWe’re not sure how different the Nokia 7.1 and 7.1 Plus are as far as hardware is concerned. It is tipped that the Plus model could be powered by a Snapdragon 710 processor. The device could also come with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, the non-plus model could go with a Snapdragon 660 chipset much like the Nokia 7 Plus from earlier this year. You can also be sure that both the phones will be Android One devices and we expect it them to run Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.ALSO READ: Nokia 7.1 Plus spotted in live images, reveals two colour optionslast_img read more
