The World Soy Foundations Acre Challenge Grows with Help of Top Three

first_imgWith the second month of 2015 flying by, this year’s Acre Challenge continues to grow in support of the World Soy Foundation’s (WSF) mission to reduce malnutrition through the power of soy. As the philanthropic arm of the American Soybean Association, the Acre Challenge creates a unique opportunity for U.S. soybean farmers to directly support the Foundation—making sure the valuable protein they work hard to grow makes it to those who need it most around the world. The WSF is happy to announce the Acre Challenge is over one-third of the way to the new 2015 goal of $110,000. With the great success the WSF had last year with Acre Challenge, we’ve upped the goal by $10,000 for this year to help make an even greater impact! With that said, we’d like to recognize our top three supporting states so far this year. The winner of last year’s Top State Award, Iowa, still leads the way in being a part of the solution to world hunger and malnutrition. With over 24 donors contributing nearly $6,000 to the Acre Challenge fund. Coming in just behind Iowa is North Dakota, with 10 donors generously giving nearly $4,500. Rounding out the top three are the 22 donors of Illinois, who accepted the challenge and raised over $3,500.The WSF looks forward to partnering with all U.S. soybean farmers through the Acre Challenge over the next 10 months, to continue furthering our mission and making an impact on impoverished communities around the world on behalf of the soy family and industry.Be sure to visit us at www.worldsoyfoundation.org or on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to learn more about the impact your gift can make.last_img read more
